Maldives- Paradise on Earth (Guest Series: 15)

I want to start a journey to heaven with a picture, so that you can imagine along.

View from our Beach Bungalow

There are 3 kind of people. One with a dream to visit this beautiful place, second who have already visited and third who consider it to be a hype and have their own perspective. Maldives was never on my list and being from India, i had always thought that everyone goes to Maldives for Honeymoon, lets not travel there, until I married to the man of my dreams. He is from Turkey and we live in Germany. We visited Santorini for our first Honeymoon as that where I always wanted to go but once he said that he wanted to visit Maldives but it is quite far. That was the moment I decided to look out for the best deals and book a trip for us and named it as our Second Honeymoon.

We got a nice package with flight and Resort with all inclusive from Germany for 12 nights. We planned it 8 months before our travel. Quick tip here: If you want to plan a good trip, plan it quite before in time until unless you are rich.

View from Sea plane ✈️

It was the month of May and monsoon had not yet started there. Days were as warm as 32 degrees. We reached Male and took the Sea plane to our Resort. Flight was around 40 mins and I fell in love with Maldives already. View from the top were breathtaking and I could see the cockpit with pilots. After an amazing ride when we reached our Resort, they welcomed us with music and drum.

Welcoming at the Resort
We reached our Bungalow and all we could see around us were Palm trees, white sand, blue water and the only thing what came out from our mouth was „wow“. Is this for real?
View from our Beach Bungalow ♥️

All we wanted were to take off our clothes and get into the water and exactly that what we did. Water was so blue and crystal clear, we could see the beautiful coral, baby sharks and manta rays just at our door step.

Another quick tip: Before visiting and booking anywhere in Maldives, decide what you exactly want and expect. We wanted to do the snorkeling and enjoy the corals with marine life just at our resort without taking any boats with little adventure and a lot of relaxation. We got there everything what we wanted.

We celebrated in the evening with champagne. Resort was quite big and was divided into different parts. Although there were 800 guests at that time but we could hardly see people and every where was so quite and nice. We went to the Resort Restaurant for dinner which was for our part. Restaurant was big, chefs were cooking fresh in front of us and everybody was so nice and smiling. It was barefoot Resort so we could enjoy the sand even in the restaurant. It was an amazing experience. They had everyday different cuisine. Food was finger licking delicious.

I had an amazing incident there. At fruits corner, I asked the guy if he had mango as I love mangoes. He said he could arrange the next day. Every night at dinner, he prepared a mango in the plate and kept for me and would give me specially after the dinner. P.S. mangoes were not there for anyone at fruits corner. That was so beautiful gesture, which I can never forget that brilliant hospitality.

Resort had every night activities like watching movie at the beach, White dress party, Retro live music night at pool, crab race etc. We never felt bored, not even for a second. We had something to do all the time.

Movie night

Poolside Retro night

Crab race night where you can bid and buy the crabs. Money goes to crabs charity
Day time we had another nice activities. Exquisite beautiful marine life and Resort reef was the main reason to book this resort. I still remember when I first saw the turtle and I just followed him for like an hour and my husband got curious and swim to me to see what I am up to. That feeling cannot be expressed in words. With the rays of the sun, turtle was shining like a diamond under the water. Every afternoon we enjoyed Snorkeling and the marine life.

Best part was that you do not even need to snorkel to see baby sharks and manta rays, they just visit you while strolling at the beach and just next to your bungalow.

Everyday we could find different activity to do like indoor playing 9-ball pool, table tennis and enjoying the drinks with music or outside activity like kayaking in blue waters and looking around serene beach embellished with palm trees.

We had totally shutdown our brains and were enjoying every moment there. Life without worries and living in nature, I think that's what we call Paradise.

My husband was so lazy and relaxed and I was super active doing yoga at the beach or swinging on tree branches or just lying on hammock. Life was at its best.

As I told we were on our second honeymoon, surprisingly we saw fabulous decorations at the beach for wedding and we thought of renewing our vows. Such a beautiful moment and how you can fall in love with the same person again and again. Isn’t it seems like a dream? Sure it is.

Resort had breathtaking sand bank and we took complete advantage of that place and clicked beautiful pictures. Just imagine you are surrounded by water from all directions. That's the beauty of Indian Ocean.

We are quite fun loving couple and love to tease each other. We never leave a chance to prank or do some WWE moves with each other. I think humor is a medicine which keeps the spark and love alive in a relation.

12 nights passed so quick and if we had a chance to stay there for longer, we could happily do that. People say „what you will do in Maldives for so long, its just a beach bla bla bla“.

But let me tell you guys, if you plan properly with good research, you got so many things to do that  you will never regret staying there for long. Its a real paradise on Earth and if you have not planned yet or it is not on your bucket list, please visit once and you will definitely change your perspective. I hope you liked my journey to paradise. Now, it is the time to plan and begin your journey to paradise-Maldives.

THE JOURNEY | Danielle Paiva (Guest Series: 10)

“A man needs to travel. By his own, not through stories, pictures, books or TV. He needs to travel by himself, with his eyes and feet, to understand what is his. To one day plant his own trees and value them. Knowing the cold to enjoy the heat. And the opposite. Feel the distance and absence of shelter to be well under his own roof. A man needs to travel to places that he does not know to break this arrogance that makes us see the world as we imagine it, and not simply as it is or can be. That makes us teachers and doctors of what we have not seen, when we should be students, and simply go and see.” This text by Amyr Klink has always inspired me. I discovered my passion for travel (exploring places), languages (knowing how to communicate) and photography(recording moments) in 2005, when I did my first exchange program at the age of 17. In July I went with a group of young Brazilians to take a basic English course in Toronto, Canada. This group trip, which was guided, was organized an

Wonders of Georgia (Guest Series: 20)

Seven Days across Georgia I will always remember 27th of December as the day we fulfilled yet another travel dream. Years of waiting, hunting for affordable plane tickets and five hours on the bus and we were finally there-the heart of Georgia -Tbilisi.  We have left our backpacks at our flat and started strolling through the city. First impressions-mad drivers, amazing architecture and our first 'SUPRA'( dinner ). By accident we have found a small, inconspicuous looking restaurant, owned by an older Georgian Couple. Using first, English (not a word was useful), German, body language and finally Polish we have managed to order something to eat. What we did not know at that time was that this place would become our second home during our stay. The food, the ambiance and charm of its owners created something that I would call an ultimate dining experience.  Where to eat, what to eat and most def try CAFE NIKOLAZI, ANTON KATALIKOSI ST.34, TBILISI 0105, GEORGIA *Khachapuri -bread w
